Prof. Jain was honored for his decades of service for the Indo-German relations, especially in the field of cultural exchange.
Above all, he demonstrates his extraordinary commitment as a bridge builder between German and Indian cultural workers, through his sustained commitment to the Humboldt Forum in Berlin, to which he has been associated since 2011, also being part of its international team of experts since 2015.
Before the handover of the medal, the interested audience listened to a panel discussion on “The Humboldt Forum: Museum of the Future?”.
Hartmut Dorgerloh, General Director of Humboldt and Prof Dr Lars-Christian Koch, Head of Collection and Head of the Ethnological Museum of the Humboldt Forum along with Prof Dr Jyotindra Jain discussed about the Humboldt Forum.
The Humboldt Forum will open at the end of 2019 in the newly built Berlin City Palace and will open the public a new view of the world.
