Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, State Secretary Gunther Adler and Ambassador Dr. Martin Ney were present at the signing of the project „Climate Smart Cities“ on 17th December.
Germany supports Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore and Kochi on the way to more resilience to climate change and more sustainability. The 4.74 million Euros project from the International Climate Initiative (IKI) is part of the German support for Smart Cities Mission. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), GIZ and the states of Kerala, Odisha and Tamil Nadu work together for the implementation.
Later in the evening, Ambassador Dr. Martin Ney hosted a buffet dinner in honour of State Secretary Gunther Adler and Minister of State of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri. Other dignitaries from the government and other organisations also took part.
