German Embassy hosts lunch for the participants of the PAD Award Winner Programme 2018 (PAD Preisträgerprogramm 2018)
The Cultural Counsellor, Dietrich Graf v.d. Schulenburg hosted a lunch for the winners of the prestigious scholarship programme by the Pädagogischer Austauschdient (PAD) and their German language teachers in the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.

From around 90 countries in the world, approx. 500 selected pupils from different schools are invited to Germany to participate in the four weeks long PAD scholarship programme every year. These are the students who have performed extremely well in the German language at school level.
This year, eight Indian students from different parts of India were invited to partake in the scholarship programme by the Pädagogischer Austauschdient (PAD).

The Cultural Counsellor, Dietrich Graf v.d. Schulenburg hosted a lunch for the winners of the prestigious programme and their German language teachers in the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany on September 28th, 2018 and congratulated them on their achievements. He emphasized on the importance of knowledge of different languages and said “with the growing complexity of the world around us, language and a cultural connect bring people and nations closer”. The pupils shared their experience in Germany and of living in a German host family. On this occasion, the counsellor encouraged them to continue learning the language.

The Pädagogischer Austauschdienst is the sole public organization in Germany working on behalf of the Federal States to promote international exchange and cooperation in the school sector. The PAD is a department of the Secretariat of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany (Kultusministerkonferenz).
