The German Federal Foreign Office has put together the exhibition “Germany’s Energiewende”- German Energy Transition, which is being presented for the first time in India. This travelling exhibition explains the German Energy Transition, highlighting the importance of energy efficiency and renewable energy for the future.
Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF-SO) has been charged with the responsibility of taking this exhibition around different institutions and events to reach interested audience and educate people about energy transition.
The Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF-SO) in collaboration with the TERI School of Advanced Studies inaugurated the exhibition on Energy Transition in Germany on 19th March 2018 at TERI University, Vasant Kunj. The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. Caroline-Silva Garbade, Head of Economic Affairs Division, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The inauguration ceremony saw participation of students, faculty, researchers, representatives of public and private sector and Governement officials. The programme was followed by a guided tour of the German Energy Transition Exhibition.
Germany’s Energiewende or Energy Transition is a project for sustainable, affordable and secure supply of energy in the country in the future. The project thus directly addresses the challenges of climate change in the world. The exhibition will remain open for visitors from 19th to 23rd March 2018, from 10 am to 4 pm at TERI University, Vasant Kunj.
