The COVID19 pandemic situation in India unfortunately requires the limitation of customer service to ensure the safety of our customers and employees. Therefore only services limited to important matters can be offered currently.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current pandemic situation that also affects German Embassy New Delhi, the visa section will remain closed until further notice.
Applicants whose appointments had to be cancelled had been contacted directly by the Embassy or VFS Global. Therefore, please refrain from any individual requests by phone or e-mail.
Family Reunion Visas: The visa section in the Embassy in New Delhi reopens on June 1st, 2021.
Please submit your applications on your day of appointment. Applicants whose appointments were cancelled during closing of visa section will be contacted by VFS Global for allocation of a new appointment. With effect from 17.05.2021 passports for “visa stamping” (only family reunion) can be handed in again through VFS Global.
For information on also currently limited services by the German Consulates in India, please check their respective websites.
The German Missions will however continue to provide emergency services for German citizens.
