A Schengen Visa entitles you to visit Germany and/or other Schengen countries for less than or up to 90 days.

A Schengen visa entitles the holder to an accumulated stay of up to 90 days within a period of six months and is valid for Germany, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland (Schengen Area).

Holders of long-term Schengen visa, frequent travellers, or anybody seeking a clearer definition of short stay of non-EU citizens in the Schengen area (“90 days in any 180 das period”) can use the short-stay calculator. Provided by the European Commission, the calculator helps to avoid overstays and to determine the next allowed travel date.

The user's guide contains information on the 90-days-in-any-180-days-rule, the use of the calculator and practical examples.

Both, the short-stay calculator and user guide can be found here.
