Academic Evaluation Center (APS) - IT Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Database and Web Administrator to join office and play a pivotal role in the restructuring of our digital assets.
This position involves a range of technical responsibilities, including:

Database Management:
- Administering the APS website and internal database, ensuring optimum security and functionality.
- Collaborating with APS colleagues in China, Vietnam, and Germany to develop standardized database structures for all the locations.
- Hands-on management of our database infrastructure, including optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity.
- Proficiency in SQL for advanced database operations and queries.

IT Infrastructure Management:
- Overseeing and maintaining our office IT infrastructure to guarantee uninterrupted operations.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing proactive solutions.
- Familiar with midscale network setups and network hardware.
- Running enterprise backup solutions

Web Development Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with PHP for web development and maintenance using an IDE, git for versioning and XAMPP.
- Ensuring the security and functionality of the APS website.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting statistical data for the preparation of annual reports and public speeches.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and technical skills:
- Academic or equivalent background in a computer-related discipline.
- Prior experience in managing and optimizing databases, especially for large-scale projects across diverse IT environments. Please provide specific examples of your experience.
- Proficiency in managing and optimizing database standards and end-user applications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with MS Access for database management.
- Strong expertise in data backup, recovery, security, and SQL.
- Proven ability to design, document, and code databases effectively.
- High motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and a dedicated work ethic.
- A team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- A confident and professional demeanor with polite manners.
- Fluent in both English and Hindi, with excellent communication skills.
- Preferably, hold a B2 level certification in German (written and spoken) from Goethe Institute / Max Mueller Bhawan or an equivalent institution.
