VACANCY - ASSISTANT VISA OFFICER
The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Bengaluru invites applications for the full-time position of assistant visa officer (40 hours/week).

The position requires good command of the German language (B1) and begins from mid-June/July 2023.
Responsibilities:
- receiving, processing and filing visa applications
- checking validity and authenticity of documents submitted
- interviews and correspondence with applicants in person, in written or on the phone
- data entry into the electronic visa system
- printing and sticking visas

Requirements:
- bachelor’s degree and/ or a min. of 2 years work experience in a related field
- proof of knowledge of German language at least B1 level
- fluency in written and spoken English and in one of the following languages: Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil
- good computer skills and command over standard office applications
- well organised team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure
- good interpersonal and communication skills
- willingness to work in a multicultural environment
The Consulate General offers you a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal. The starting salary will be 68.364 INR (basic) gross per month + transport and housing allowance of 7.500 INR. EPF is being offered.

Please note that this position is not eligible for remote work and that the Consulate General cannot grant a relocation allowance. If successful, you will be subject to security and medical checks prior to taking up employment. Third country nationals need to have a valid residence permit including work permit for India.
