Welcome to our Website! The Consulate's area of consular jurisdiction covers the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh
Please note that the visa fees will change with effect from 22/01/2025 at VFS and from 23/01/2025 at the Consulate.
If you submit your visa application at the Consulate: Starting 23/01/2025, demand drafts with the previous amounts will NOT be accepted anymore. Please update your demand draft before your appointment!
If you submit your visa application at the VFS visa application centre: Please note that there is a delay of one day before the application reaches the Consulate. Therefore, the new fees will take effect at VFS from 22/01/2025, i.e. one day prior!
The new fees for long-term/national visas are as follows: New visa fee in INR Adults (age 18 and up) 6,700 Children (age 0 – 17) 3,400
The new fees for short-term/Schengen visas are as follows: New visa fee in INR Adults (age 12 and above) 8,000 Children (age 6 – 11) 4,000

Visitors of the Consular and Legal Department need to schedule an appointment prior to their visit to the German Consulate General.
