The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai is looking for a Driver starting from 1st July 2026.

Full time (48 hours per week), at first limited to 1 year, then option of extension.

Salary according to the Consulate General’s current salary scheme is INR 44,800 per month, additional Transport- and Housing Allowances. Depending on relevant professional experience, a higher starting salary may be granted.

Job Description
- Driving the Consulate General’s vehicles
- Delivery and Pick-up of messages, letters and packages
- Car care and simple car maintenance work
- Simple administrative tasks related to the driving service

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate must have:
- 10th pass
- a very good command of English (written and spoken)
- a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations
- at least 5 years' experience as a driver with a recognized organization, agency or business or as a pri-vate diplomat’s driver
- availability to take weekend and night shifts as well as willingness to work regular overtime
- reliability, accuracy and impeccable appearance
- ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations
- strong organizational skills
- intercultural competence and excellent communication skills
- ability to work trustfully and effectively within a team
